Get the Look: Stunning Succulent Urn Container Garden

Posted by

In a recent post, I practically told you the only way to design a container garden was to use the thriller, filler spiller concept. Well, in all honesty, you can do whatever you want. And sometimes a one-plant container garden out does any combination. Case in point...

I've obsessed over this simple look ever since I started working at Better Homes and Gardens. It's absolutely stunning. I love how the sharp chartreuse color of Angelina sedum pops off the dark, aged urn. What a statement. It's so easy to accomplish this look and -- BONUS -- sedum is ridiculously drought-tolerant! I've had this particular variety growing in my garden for years now and have never watered it. Never!

Need to have this look?

We've got Angelina sedum just begging to get in your garden. You can order it here. Our succulents are grown to fill a 1.75 inch ellepot. This is the perfect size for mini succulent dishbowls or large container gardens. Sedums grow fast, even with little water. However, you will want at least three plants to fill an urn similar to that shown from Better Homes and Gardens.
